These two artifacts provides a template for the Service Model where the primary delivery artifact is to be document based. This is not to say that the UML representation will not be used to develop some of the content that will appear in the document, just that the primary delivery artifact will be the document form.

• Service Model Template.doc - The main template including all the sections described in the Artifact: Service Model
• Service Model Template.xls - An overview, providing a detailed tabular representation of key data in the service model.

The Word Service Model may be the primary delivery artifact, but in many cases it will be delivered in conjunction with additional content in UML form, in this regard refer to the Template: Service Model in UML.
